Testimonials

We here at Tugboat believe that our customers are our best form of communicating the serious and helpful nature of our flagship product, Selkie Rescue. I can say that when you need it, you really need it but they, our customers, have real life experiences that say it better. Here is what a few of them have shared with us:

"Just a quick note to say a big thanks. It is refreshing to find a product that does EXACTLY what it says it will do. I have been telling everyone about your product since I bought it to recover files from a PC damaged by Norton GoBack. I recovered all of my data - every file, every bit - from a hard drive that 3 separate "data recovery specialists" told me was irrecoverable. Your product works like a charm. Thanks"

I am here to tell you again your personal support and Lifeboat's (now Selkie Rescue) Data Recovery documentation are among the finest of any utility program I have purchased. Just so you know, I recently purchased Spinrite. I had to return it for refund- as I was unable to use it and there was NO documentation for the current version.

Thank you very much. I will be one of your best advertisements in Virginia, USA.

I've used Selkie with three hard drives. Two were successful and one was not.The first HDD had known physical defects. I was hoping it would work, but it did not. I believe the drive head on this disk has broken off as I can hear it rattling in there. The second HDD had failure due to overheating, at least that is what the HDD analyzing tool said. Selkie was able to get into this drive withot any problems. I was able to retrieve all the data. The third HDD was one from a laptop. I had not been able to get it to boot up and thought the drive had failed. After a year of sitting around, Selkie was able to recover all data off that drive. The drive is now working. I'm not sure if Selkie did something to it or if this drive was able to start up on its own after sitting a long while.I have two microdrives I'd like to try it on, but haven't been able to do so yet. What are my thoughts about Selkie? Exactly as advertised! I found Selkie to be extremely easy to setup and use. The program does all the work and practically holds your hand through the whole process. The prompts are easy to understand and feels like a real person is there talking to you.Tim Swanson

I purchased Lifeboat (now called Selkie Rescue Data Recovery) a while ago as a stand by tool, just in case my Windows machines crash.

Well, the unthinkable happened. After years of 24/7 service, one of my trusted Linux servers (a Debian variety) failed to boot after an unexpected power surge. The home directory of the Linux server has several gigabytes of important data on it. These are robust, industrial grade servers that cannot and should not fail.

After I calm down from the initial panic, I retrieve the Lifeboat-Selkie Rescue CDand inserted it in the Linux server's CD drive, boot up and in less than 2 minutes, the home (and others) directory of the Linux server is visible to the workgroup network, I recovered all the data !

The Lifeboat/Selkie Rescue CD is one of those tools you want to have in your medicine cabinet.
You don't know when you will need it, but when you do need it, you will be so glad you have it.
